Explorations of Milwaukee
An artist is equipped with a creative mind offering a new perspective to problem-solving. While the arts itself has the potential to make immense contributions to society by impacting or informing, we take it one step further challenging creative brains to tackle difficult social and cultural issues affecting our community. Often this results in unique inferences deduced through sensation, experience, mindfulness, and innovative thinking.
Mapping MKE and Research Through the Years
Since 2014, we have been mapping out the city of Milwaukee through embodied movement in multiple locations. These locations included private homes, businesses, parks, alleys and social gatherings. Our movement research has allowed us to continue to expand across Milwaukee, and through that expansion we have created a map to further document our research, connections and
embodied dancing. Through this map we hope you will be able to better understand the extent of our research, as well as the community we hope to continue to support.
